The Brazilian winger starred at Betis last season after moving on loan but a return to the Spanish club now looks unlikely as they cannot afford to sign him on a permanent basis, according to Sky Sports. Antony is now considering his options ahead of the start of the 2025-26 season but has received interest from two top Saudi Pro League clubs.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Manchester United are currently trying to offload unwanted players and have managed to send out Marcus Rashford to Barcelona. Antony is now currently part of the club's 'bomb squad' that also includes fellow outcasts Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho and Tyrell Malacia. All four players have been deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford and are currently training away from the squad at Carrington and only after 5pm.

WHAT NEXT FOR ANTONY?
Antony is not part of Manchester United's pre-season tour squad and will hope he can secure a move away from Old Trafford in time for the start of the new campaign. The Saudi Pro League may be an option, but it's not clear yet if Antony is willing to head to the Middle East.
