It had been reported that the winger may receive interest from the Catalan side yet again, but the Hansi Flick-led side are no longer in the hunt for Williams.

  has now reported that Barcelona have decided to drop their interest in Williams, as they are expecting a slow summer due to their struggles with finances. If they are to make signings in the transfer window for next season, they would look to sign a backup for Jules Kounde.
